The most popular sport at the Rio Olympics voted by television viewers was the Women’s Hockey Tournament.
Why? Because it was fast-moving, exciting and easy to follow.
Lincolnshire had four representatives in the squad including Lincoln-born Georgie Twigg who learned her craft at the Lindum Hockey club.
The club now boasts a membership of 600 plus and has been classed as a ‘super club’ by England Hockey.
Press Officer Sean O’Kelly told SportsLinc: “The club is thriving. We have a fantastic junior section. The club provides for all ages and abilities.
“We are always looking for new members to join us.”
