Every Saturday morning at nine you can wander down to Boultham Park and watch 350 runners of all ages and all shapes and sizes prepare for their weekly 5K (three mile) sprint/jog/walk around the beautiful surroundings of the park.
You don’t have to be a club runner, you don’t even have to be any runner as the park run is open to walkers and strollers who just like some fresh air and the opportunity to stretch their legs with people of a like mind.
In fact you can see this scene throughout the UK as park runs are now a firmly established part of the British way of life each Saturday morning.
Lincoln Parkrun Event Director, Keith Rossiter said: ” The weekly run gives families and runners of all abilities the opportunity to take part in a real community get-together.”
