Last Saturday was a day to remember for every Lincoln United supporter.
Boss Sam Wilkinson took his team to higher-league Nuneaton as firm underdogs.
It turned out very different as Sam explained to SportsLinc.
He said:”We had a great day. We believed we could go there and do it.
“We thought we could really frustrate them and make things really hard for them.
“The whole squad did just that.
“But the quality was also there and we did score two really good goals.
“Let’s hope we can have more of those days in the FA Cup coming up.
“As for the County Cup? Well it’s a long time since we won any silverware at Lincoln United.
“Getting to the final of that competition was a massive achievement especially after beating Gainsborough and Lincoln City on the way.
“The FA Cup is a little bit different. Our goal is to get to the First Round proper which would obviously make it a day to remember.
“I think if we can get through to the next round when the Conference teams cone into it then that will be a massive achievement for this club.
“We know it will be tough against Handsworth but we will give it a go.”
