After the disappointment of losing 2-1 to Barrow at the weekend, SportsLinc asked Imps’ boss Danny Cowley how he would prepare his squad this week in preparation for the away trip to Dover.

He said: “If you go into war you want to know what the other army has got. You want to know what ammunition they’ve got and what tanks they’ve got.

“For us we go into games with as much information as we can and we’ll set up differently.

“We always look at the opposition’s strategy, their strengths and the profiles of their players.

“We try to give our players as much information about the opposition as we can.

“We know Dover’s strengths. They have lots of attacking players, lots of attacking options as they play with three high-up the pitch.

“We are clear with what we need to do to try and stop them.

“During training in the week we get the players into certain habits.

“We give them the problems they are likely to face on Saturday so they can find ways and solutions of dealing with these problems.”
