Nettleham FC Under 18s are aiming to put aside the disappointment of last weekend’s 5-2 defeat at Sibsey when they take on Fishtoft Youth FC in their second game of the new campaign this Sunday.
The Nettleham youngsters’ first game was judged to be a learning curve for the players by boss Scott Russell.
He told SportsLinc: “We are looking to bounce back after a disappointing opening day defeat.
“I’m lucky this week in that I have a strong squad to pick from. Midfielder Tyler Dixon will be making his debut.
“We’ve talked about where we need to improve and are hoping for a positive result.
“But it’s up to the lads to show me they can fight for their team mates and not roll over!”
