Lincoln United boss Sam Wilkinson has promised to change the way his side plays following their two defeats against Romulus FC and Loughborough Dynamo on Bank Holiday Weekend.
The Whites are still without a win in the Evo-Stik Division One (South) League.
This Saturday they face Dunkirk FC in the preliminary round of the Emirates FA Cup at the Sun Hat Villas stadium.
Big Sam told SportsLinc: “We were absolutely gutted at the weekend because we wanted to come away with six points.
“The lads didn’t perform to their potential and we were really disappointed.
“We were caught on the break in both games. Romulus had a lot of pace up front and we were caught by a sucker punch.
” We need to look after the ball better in the final third because if you do that you have less defending to do.
“We are going to play differently and go back to basics by getting the ball wide and putting balls in the box.
“We give the players a licence to express themselves which certainly worked in pre-season especially against Lincoln City and Gainsborough Trinity.
“It’s not quite worked in the league yet so we will go back to a four-four-two formation and be nice and solid.”
