All three matches involving Lincoln-area teams in the Lincolnshire County Board Premier League were abandoned on Saturday due to the heavy downpours which started in the early afternoon.

Lindum CC managed to complete 40 overs and hit 225 for 2 declared at home to Grimsby Town CC.

The top four batsmen all made useful contributions with William Wright leading the way on 94 not out.

Leaders Bracebridge Heath 1st X1 restricted Louth CC to 166 for eight but had to succumb to the pouring rain after they had reached 48 for 3 in reply.

Nettleham CC 1st X1 had to settle for eight points in their match against Boston CC before the heavens opened.

With only two games left Bracebridge Heath 1st X1 head the division on 276 points, 24 ahead of Grantham CC.

Lindum sit fifth on 241 points whilst Nettleham remain at the foot of the table on 149.
