It was always going to be a tough match for Sam Wilkinson’s men who faced a team with a 100% record so far this season.

Visitors Romulus extended that run by making it three consecutive away wins after their 2-1 win over the Whites.

After a scrappy start Romulus went aheadĀ on 26 minutes following a typical break which lead to a precision strike by Agbonlahor to give his team the lead.

ThingsĀ  got worse for the home side when the Roms doubled their lead on 58 minutes after Chad rifled the ball into the net.

After that things began to get rather exciting. Santos was shown red and then Agbonlahor missed a sitter.

The Whites clawed a goal back through a penalty but couldn’t force the equaliser.

The men from the Sun Hat Villas now have to re-group and focus their attention on the trip to Loughborough Dynamo on Bank Holiday Monday.
