CRICKET: LINDUM STILL IN WITH CHANCE OF TITLE

The Lincolnshire County Board Premier league can be won by any of the top five clubs.

That is the view of Lindum’s Will Carter whose team sits fifth in the table on 231 points.

Will told Sportslinc: “It is a really tight league this year.

“Anyone can beat anyone and it’s just a question of who capitalises on the mistakes.

“We have slipped down the table but we are not mathematically out of it.

“We will keep fighting every week.”

“Our batting has been a very pleasing aspect of our play this year but we have struggled to take wickets.

“If you don’t take 10 wickets you don’t get maximum points from the game.

“It’s pleasing we have been getting runs all down the order.

“If you don’t do it you know the man in next will.

“That instils confidence in each other.”

You can hear the whole of that interview with Will, including his thoughts about next week’s floodlit cricket competition on Mix and Match on Siren 107.3 FM or www.sireononline.co.ukĀ on Saturday afternoon between 3-5 pm.
