People of a certain age, myself included believe that aching joints, poor mobility and stiffness are caused by age.
This is not necessarily so.
When I look back to when I was playing football at a fairly decent level in my twenties I can recall having tight hamstrings and a tight groin back then.
In short, if you were stiff when you were young why should you be less stiff as you get older?
I discovered today when working with Strength and Conditioning coach Sam Vickers that it is important to increase your mobility and stability.
This can be achieved by doing the correct stretching exercises to rectify muscle imbalances and postural dysfunctions.
I want my body to do what I want it to do.
At the moment it can’t.
I am aiming to reach that goal within six weeks following the specific programme Sam has prepared for me.
