CRICKET:CHERRY ON TOP IN LOCAL DERBY

Table-toppers Cherry Willingham 1st X1 beat nearby rivals Bracebridge Heath 1st X1 by three wickets and now head the Lincolnshire County Cricket League by 31 points over second-placed Alford and District CC.

It was that man once again, captain Will Carter who showed the way home by smashing 118 runs after taking five Bracebridge wickets for 78.

Hartsholme 1st X1 lost by one wicket in a very tight encounter with Messingham 1st X1 and remain second bottom of the table.

Scothern 1st X1 went down by five wickets to Market Rasen and stay fourth in the division 51 points behind leaders Cherry Willingham and having played one game more than the leaders.
