FOOTBALL: IMPS RUN RIOT TO SEAL SECOND SUCCESSIVE WIN

What can I say? The dream is fast becoming a reality. Danny Cowley’s men hit six past National League newcomers North Ferriby United to send home every one of the 3,622 fans with a huge smile on their face except of course if you were an away supporter!

Goals within the first five minutes from Rhead and Arnold set the tone for a game in which the Imps gave the opposition no chance of recovery.

Waterfall joined in the fun on 16 minutes before Rhead fired home his second from the spot and his fourth in two outings.

North Ferriby scored on the half hour but could not withstand the barrage of attacks after the break as Margetts and Wood made it 6-1.

On Saturday Lincoln City host Sutton United and I can give you only one word of advice……..don’t be late taking your seat otherwise you will be sure to miss a goal or two early on…… from the home side of course!
