Lincoln United’s six-match unbeaten run came to an end this afternoon at Market Drayton after the home side scored the decisive goal in the final minute to give them all three points.

In one of the most exciting games of the season the Whites went ahead after only 17 seconds with a Matt Cotton volley only for the hosts to equalise shortly afterwards with a dubious penalty.

After 15 minutes Gary King beat the offside to trap to set up Sean Wright for his second goal in successive games and his tenth overall of the season.

Seconds later the home team equalised again before going on to take the lead after a long throw was flicked on and headed home.

With just 10 minutes left King showed some great skill to allow Kallum Smith to run in and place his shot inside the far post.

In the final minute, United’s hearts were broken when Market Drayton grabbed the winner to make it 4-3.
